John Wood discusses “Leaving Microsoft to Change the World: An Entrepreneur’s Odyssey to Educate the World’s Children”
In 1998, John Wood was a rising executive at Microsoft when he took a vacation that changed his life. What started as a trekking holiday in Nepal became a spiritual journey, and then a mission: to change the world one book and one child at a time. So upon returning from holiday, John did what most of us can only dream of doing: he walked away from millions to do “more”. Over the next five years he would make the unlikely marriage between Microsoft business practices and the world of non-profits to create Room to Read, an organization that has created a network of over 2,000 schools and libraries (with over one million books) throughout communities in Southeast Asia and India.

THE CHANGE CYCLE
Greetings, welcome to my introduction video in which I will cover how to get you, your friends, family, household or your organization started with sustainability and organizational change.
We are manipulated and controlled by the wisdom of the greedy and the axis of evil. To be exposed to reality would impede their control and this would not do. As information filters out to the masses as to their actions, both present and past, people are waking up all over the world. When this information reaches enough people and enough of us bring them into the light, the mask will come off to reveal another and yet another and so on until they can no longer hide. Then we can break these corporate chains.
This video was recorded for a Change Management project with a customer. In the preparation phase we realised there were a few concerns among the employees. We recorded a few videos to address these concerns in a light and funny way. This video is addresses the location concern: Where will they be based?
Can your business, organization or ociation benefit from a tailored program to enhance productivity?
The NSW Department of Environment and Climate Change (DECC) is preparing a Biodiversity Management Plan for the Northern Rivers Region of north-east NSW, Australia. The Northern Rivers region covers over 50,000 square km of north-east NSW extending from just south of Port Macquarie north to the Queensland border and inland to the tablelands as far as Armidale. The area features a number of major population centres along the coast and a range of public lands including 22 % national park and 12% state forest and the majority 59% private lands. The plan aims to protect and manage all threatened species, populations and communities found in the Northern Rivers region.
Patriotism has never looked so good.
